Dogs On The Run LLC home pageLike many other dog trainers, my own rather rambunctious dogs are the reason I got hooked on dog training. The essence of training at Dogs on the Run, LLC is captured by the words: relationship, success, and responsibility. If you find yourself thinking that your dog is more of a pain than a pleasure, then what you probably have is a dog in need of training.Agility is a sport in which a dog negotiates an obstacle course following signals from the handler about which obstacle to take next. Obedience Jump-Start

You're at a company picnic. Kids are running around, people are grilling hamburgers, and your Obedience Dog Training for a well behaved Dogbrand-new puppy Red, who doesn't yet know how to walk on a leash, is asleep on your lap. Suddenly your boss's dog steals a hamburger and takes off. Your boss runs after the dog to tell him what a bad dog he is. When your boss finally returns without his dog (not to mention the hamburger), he says, "I took Blackie to obedience class, but I guess he forgot what he learned."

But Blackie’s memory is fine. And he did learn the basics. He just didn't learn them in Jump-Start. Blackie was taken to a traditional "classroom"-style obedience class, and he did well. But since the class had no "real life" challenges, Blackie knows how to behave in a classroom, but doesn't have a clue how to behave everywhere else.

Jump-Start is where you and Red learn the skills that will translate into good behavior wherever you go—on the street, in the park, at your in-laws' house. Using fun games, foundation agility equipment, and an upbeat attitude, we'll show you how to communicate with Red so that he will become the kind of well-behaved dog welcome anywhere. Not only will Red be invited to future company picnics, he well may be everyone's favorite guest!
