Dogs On The Run LLC home pageLike many other dog trainers, my own rather rambunctious dogs are the reason I got hooked on dog training. The essence of training at Dogs on the Run, LLC is captured by the words: relationship, success, and responsibility. If you find yourself thinking that your dog is more of a pain than a pleasure, then what you probably have is a dog in need of training.Agility is a sport in which a dog negotiates an obstacle course following signals from the handler about which obstacle to take next. Agility Jump-Start

You're a spectator at an agility trial, and you've brought along your new pup, Brownie. A dog named Goldie is in the ring. On TV the dogs always stay at the start line, but Goldie takes off and runs up the seesaw before the handler is ready, then jumps off midway up the plank, and starts sniffing around. The game is over before it begins. The handler leaves the ring asking, "Why has Goldie forgotten everything she learned in class?"

But Goldie doesn't need a better memory. What Goldie needs is Jump-Start. Agility is tons of fun, but it's a lot harder than it looks on TV. Jump-Start prepares your dog, both mentally and physically, by giving her the kind of solid foundation that builds confidence and eagerness in a quieter dog, and confidence and self-control in a high-drive dog.

Jump-Start is the first step in developing the teamwork you and Brownie will needbefore you step into the agility ring. Using fun games, foundation agility equipment, and an upbeat attitude, we'll show you how to start building the skills that will set you and Brownie on the right path to becoming a fast and flowing agility team. Whether your ultimate goal is to play agility just for fun or to compete at the nationals, this is the right first jump for you!
